Riley Coy

Riley Coy is the Urban Forestry Coordinator for Oklahoma Forestry Services within the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Forest Management from Oklahoma State University. Riley is the former chair of the Oklahoma Urban and Community Forestry Council and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Keep Oklahoma Beautiful.

He is a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture and holds the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification. Riley’s passion for trees and their roles in natural and urban environments has taken him across the country to learn from leading experts in the field.

Believing that each tree has a unique story and a record of everything it has witnessed, Riley dedicates himself to uncovering these “regal storytellers” and unlocking their secrets. Like the Lorax, he speaks for the trees—because the trees have no tongues.
